Straight answers

Packages, payments, Care Plan, timing, and how it all works. Plain English.

Packages & pricing

What it costs

How much does a website cost?

Priced by pages. Starter 4 pages £300. Business 5–6 pages £450. Premium 7–8 pages £600. Or spread the build + Care Plan over 12 months from £66 / £79 / £93 a month. Full detail on the Packages page.

Can I add extras to any package?

Yes. Instagram feed, galleries, booking, quote forms, Analytics, reviews, menus, blog, and more can go on Starter, Business, or Premium. Nothing is locked to one tier. Admin Panel is £75.

What if I need more than 8 pages?

No bother. WhatsApp with what you need and you’ll get a straight quote.

Payments & Care Plan

How you pay

How do payments work?

Upfront: card via Stripe (50/50 split available), then £35/month Care Plan via GoCardless. Most small businesses take that. Or spread the build + Care Plan: Direct Debit for 12 months (from £66/month on Starter), then Care Plan continues month-to-month at £35. Klarna is available for setup fees.

Is payment secure?

Yes. Stripe handles card payments with bank-level encryption. Card details are never seen by JDWebDesigns. GoCardless covers Direct Debit with the Direct Debit Guarantee.

What is the Care Plan?

£35/month. What most small businesses take. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice. Covers hosting, domain renewals, updates (where you do not have an Admin Panel), health checks, and priority support. First domain registration comes with the build. E-commerce Care Plan is £50/month. If you leave Care Plan, you arrange your own hosting and the domain transfers to you. Full agreement is linked in the footer.

Do you build online shops?

Yes. E-commerce builds are quoted per project. Care Plan for shops is £50/month and covers product updates, payment monitoring, and shop support on top of the usual care. WhatsApp with what you sell and we’ll quote it straight.

Do you handle domain and hosting?

First domain registration is included in the build. Hosting and domain renewals sit on the Care Plan. Skip or cancel Care Plan and you’ll need your own hosting for the site to stay live — the domain transfers to you at no extra cost.

Build & ownership

How the build works

How long does it take?

Most of the time, content comes straight from your business Facebook page: photos, wording about what you do, the lot. The build gets going once we’ve got that. If something is missing, you’d just send it over. WhatsApp if you want to talk it through.

What do I need to provide?

Usually just your business Facebook page. JDWebDesigns sources pictures and copy from there. Only if something is not on Facebook would you need to provide it. A logo helps if you have one.

Will it work on phones?

Yes. Mobile-ready is standard on every package. Most customers will find you on their phone.

Do I own the website?

Yes. Once paid in full, the site is yours. Care Plan keeps hosting, domain renewals, and support ticking for most clients after launch.

Why not Wix or Squarespace?

DIY builders often mean ongoing platform fees, slower sites, and generic looks. JDWebDesigns builds custom-coded sites: faster, unique, SEO and AEO ready, with a clear one-off build fee plus Care Plan for hosting, domain renewals, and support.
